sworn to secrecy

secrets and secrecy are such bullshit. they are just a load of rubbish and nonsensical topic. who keeps secrets, tell me? who is able to keep EVERY secret they are asked to keep. sure, confide in someone and ask that person to swear to secrecy. go ahead and trust that confidant, but ultimately it will be that confidant's decision as to whether to keep the secret(s) told to him/her. i wont lie; i have divulged secrets- obviously i cant remember any of which i told, but i do know that i did give away secrets of others, perhaps some of which are precious.
i am not telling all u who confide in me to stop confiding in me. dont judge me from what i did or am saying now. i just want to point out that secrets are no longer secrets when u tell them. whats the point of keeping a secret which may be a burden to urself but in the end tell someone else whom u trust. for all u know, that secret may well be divulged thru a very cliche but EXTREMELY common "story" that goes like this:

a: u know, i have this secret which o told me and she told me not to tell anyone. i know tt i can trust u so i am telling u the secret now. u have to swear that u will not tell anyone else.
b: ok. i promise not to tell.
a: blah blah blah...

the next day:
b: hey. a told me this secret which o told her. i told a that i would not say the secret to anyone but i simply cant keep it anymore. can u promise to keep it a secret?
c: sure. i wont tell. whats it about?
b: blah blah blah...

and that story goes on until almost everyone knows the secret. well, that goes on in the bitch world. not too sure abt girl world. most prolly yes. but not that often. all it takes is the confidant to divulge the secret to the queen of gossip and rumours start spreading like wildfire.
My moral of this post is to let u know that 'sworn to secrecy' is no longer valid. u may be 100% sure the person wont tell, but try to at least prepare urself for it.
ps: dont stop trusting me. i just wanna say that secrets which others should not know about, dont tell other pple; keep the burden to urself however much the temptation is to spill. think about it- would u rather ur secret become some horrid twisted story, let someone else share it or just keep the truth to urself? i dont know about my decision, but i know that any normal person would not want the 1st choice. hence, dont spill to any u dont trust. ((:
