back from hong kong

hello my dearest blog and blogders, im back! the 4 days were pretty fun. stayed at dorsett seaview. the hotel room had a 'beauuuutiful' view. hoho. anyway roamed around from yau ma tei where we stayed to jordan, tsim sha tsui and mongkok- where the night markets were! the signages were way cool and really pretty at night when they are all lit up; very different from singapore. (: we headed down to tung chung and hong kong island as well. SANTA'S TOWN is CUTE! the huge christmas tree was breathtaking!

so was the weather : it was cold but so nice, you can walk for long periods without perspiring. damn, i miss the cool weather there!

the avenue of stars was looong but the handprints were cool. saw 2 japanese girls who were crazy about jackie chan and jet li. they were like "JACKIE CHAN!" :D

i cut my hair and now i have blunt fringe. my sis and mum cut theirs too! and our hair looked sleek after we came out of the salon, what with their shampoo and blow drying and hair shine spray, but the effects didnt last. oh well. it was CHEAP! like 58 hk dollars which translates into about S$12 for shampoo cut and blowdry.

the ngong ping 360 skyrail gave a really beautiful view of lantau island and we were really high up! took pictures of the scenery and interlocking spurs. haha.

the peak was high up too! took the peak tram up and the galleria (or what else its called) had a fantastic view of hong kong. the lights and all, really memorable.

shopped quite a bit. the beef noodles at sheng ji along tung fong road in yau ma tei was GOOD! and burger king's fries there are much nicer and cheaper. :D

anyway on the flight back on UA, me and my sis were sitting by/near the window. hong kong is extremely pretty at night with the lights. drank a bit of wine which we stole from our dad. haha!

and we sat next to this guy called Ron who's in the Papa Jack band. they perform at the Hong Kong Winterfest! coolness. he was friendly and very accomodating, considering the fact that we went to the washroom a few times and he had to get up to let us in and out.

i saw him watching a video of probably his baby on his cellphone. the baby was so cute. (:

my sister was like "it was great travelling with you" just before landing and he was shocked. haha. then we chatted for a while and introduced ourselves. found out that he is coming to singapore to take part in the marathon. cool! he thought i was in university. HA. catherine is old.
on another note, ill post the many pictures we took during the holiday another day when i have uploaded them. soon.
