i know so little about the catholic faith!
yesteray's session was really enriching. we went on a tour to the altar, and i learnt that every altar has a relic embedded within it, and its usually from a saint. then we headed to the Sacristy, where all the sacred vestments, vessels and linen as well as books used during mass are kept. Calli told us about how the mass goes about, the significance of all the items used during mass and all.
there was also a little hands on; we got to hold the bell and other items. all in all, it was a once in a lifetime experience!
on a more solemn note, a most unfortunate accident happened outside the church compound. there was a car-motorcycle crash and the motorcycle was devastatingly damaged!
my sister was an ear-witness. most other times it might have been funny, but it seems a little morbid now. hopefully the two injured are safe and sound.
